Last summer/beginning of Fall I participated in the first CCBC Artist Residency at the Essex Campus. I was working on new Edgar Allan Poe pieces and I finished 2 pieces there and began a third one. I can now say that with the snow we had this weekend, I finally had the time to sit down and finish the piece. Here is a look at the finished piece for Edgar Allan Poe's story "The Mystery of Marie Roget." Good afternoon everyone! Today I started my final piece for my residency at CCBC Essex. The final piece will be "The Mystery of Marie Roget." Take a look at the sketch and let me know what you think! The residency is coming to an end soon and it was a blast to work with. The closing reception is Friday, September 21st from 6-8. I hope to see you there. I will have all three pieces that I have been working on there for display as well as small prints of previous Poe pieces to look at. For more information click HERE.

I am not quite finished the Poe piece I am working on yet (Murders in the Rue Morgue), but should have it ready for next week. Instead here is a commissioned piece from a little bit ago. It is a religious border to go around a poem. Take a look and let me know what you think. More to come on Poe next week. Welcome back everyone. Last week I showed the sketch for the newest Edgar Allan Poe piece I am working on and invited everyone to guess which story it was. Unfortunately, no one took me up on the offer, but as promised, I will reveal it today. Here is a look at the value study for "The Murders in the Rue Morgue". If you would like to here the story, you can here: Good evening everyone!

Good morning everyone! I have finished my first piece for the CCBC Alumni Residency, "Thou Art The Man".It took a bit of time and was the first time I have tried to tackle water drawn in ink and I think it turned out pretty well. Let me know in the comments what you think it may be or what you are hoping to see. These pieces are all going to be following a similar theme. If you think you know what it is, leave it in the comments.

Good morning everyone! Wow a post two weeks in a row. That's right I am back to trying and keep up with a post every week. As I mentioned last week, I am taking part in the CCBC Summer Residency. Tomorrow I will be in the gallery from 9-3. Feel free to stop by and see what everyone is doing! As mentioned, I am starting a new Edgar Allan Poe book. This will be the first of many Poe pieces to come and I hope you enjoy them. Let me know if there are any that you are dying to see me do. Who knows maybe they will end up in the next book. Mor information to come on that later on. It was also pointed out to me that I had a misprint in the last post.
